How to Make Black Forest Trifle | Chocaholics Version 🍫😋


In this video I demonstrate how to prepare a Black Forest trifle, a dream dessert for chocaholics! Fiona's Gracious Treatz channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCKWSBq2pkysbkOWfEACPyJw Fiona's black forest cake: https://youtu.be/gvut8YjN9xM Ingredients: Morello Cherry Jelly 1/4 pint (10 fl oz) hot water 1 can black morello cherries in syrup. A few sponge fingers. 1 shot of Cognac or Kirsch liquer (not shown, optional). 1 tablespoon of caster sugar Gelatine for 1/2 pint of liquid Add as the first layer of the trifle and allow to set before adding the next layer. Milk Chocolate Pudding In a medium saucepan, put: 1/4 cup of sugar, 1/4 cup of cocoa powder, 1/8 cup of cornflour/corn starch. Gradually add 2 cups of milk. Bring to a boil over medium high heat, stirring the whole time. When it comes to a boil, stir and simmer for 2 minutes. Remove from the heat and add 2 tbsp of butter and 2 tsp of vanilla. Stir and allow it to cool. Add as the second layer of the trifle and allow to set before adding the next layer. White Chocolate Pudding In a medium saucepan, put: 1/4 cup of sugar, 1 x 150g bar of white chocolate. 1/8 cup of cornflour/corn starch. Gradually add 2 cups of milk. Bring to a boil over medium high heat, stirring the whole time. When it comes to a boil, stir and simmer for 2 minutes. Remove from the heat and add 2 tbsp of butter and 2 tsp of vanilla. Stir and allow it to cool. Add as the third layer of the trifle and allow to set before adding the decoration. Chantilly Cream 1 carton of double/heavy/whipping cream whisked until stiff for piping with 2 teaspoons of vanilla and 2 teaspoons of icing sugar. Use piped as decoration for the trifle. Decoration Grated or curled dark chocolate. 8 chocolate brownie bites. Piped Chantilly cream. Morello cherries. Enjoy! *** Remember to check the info cards for links.
